Aerospace Education

Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) - Aerospace Education (AE) page. Aerospace Education is a core mission of the Civil Air Patrol, and the RMR AE Team is committed to providing opportunities to collaborate across Squadrons and Wings in support of all three of the Civil Air Patrol’s AE domains (aviation, cyber, and space). Through trainings, Region-level special AE activities, and the development of new AE resources/curriculum, we are here to assist the unit-level AEOs and AEMs as they work to help their communities reach for the sky and beyond!

Participation in Aerospace Education Trainings is critical to a member’s advancement in the AE Specialty Track and their professional growth as an AEO or AEM. To help Civil Air Patrol members and units reach their Aerospace Education goals, the RMR AE Team is committed to providing Region-level AE trainings and supporting AE trainings on the Wing- and Squadron-levels. 

 

      

RMR AEO Conference (Virtual)

Designed to meet the training needs of AEOs, the RMR AEO Conference highlights success from each of RMR’s 5 Wings. This conference is virtual and free for any AEM or CAP member to attend (including cadets). Held on the first Saturday after Labor Day
  
       
        
       
 

RMR AE Clinics (Virtual)

Highlighting guest speakers from RMR and beyond, this AE Clinics was created to help spark curiosity and provide additional training. These free trainings will be designed to meet the needs of one of three groups of members (AEOs, AEMs, or Cadets) but all Civil Air Patrol members are welcome to register and attend. Check back for the winter schedule this fall.
  
       
       
       
 

RMR AEO School (In-Person)

Take your Aerospace Education skills to the next level during this multi-day hands-on training. The RMR AEO School will provide instruction on how to develop activities, classroom management, and master reports, as well as opportunities and field trips to explore all three of CAP’s AE domains (aviation, cyber, and space).
Registration for the 2025 school will open this spring.
